Christmas is celebrated in Finland and around the world lavishly as a family holiday with the exchange of postcards and presents. In Finland, people start decorating their homes and windows from the end of November and children start counting days to Christmas with their Advent calendars. Streets and shopping centers are packed with people buying Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

FORUM has been decorated with christmassy colours since November already and welcomes the visitors to experience their festive gift-shopping.

In INDISKA, on FORUM’s second floor, you can find all kinds of beautiful decorations for your home that could also be small gifts for colleagues and friends. Take a look!

I have been checking various stores in FORUM to find out cool gifts for everyone! Here is my Christmas gift-selection.

In Forumin Kulta, I found gorgeous jewellery from various collections. Below there are jewellery of Aagaard design.

The Danish firm Aagaard is one of the leading jewellery manufacturers in Scandinavia and their jewellery express individuality and unique design. This Aagaard flower ser of ring and necklace can be found in Forumin Kulta. A perfect present for a lady!

Christmas is around the corner!

The holiday season is here! FORUM is decorated and the cafes have started offering glögi! Glögi is the Finnish word for ‘mulled wine’ which is usually wine red combined with cinnamon and almonds and typically served warm. It is the traditional drink of Christmas and one of my favourites!

Apart from the X-mas vibes around Forum, stores have started getting ready for the holiday season. New products have arrived at Yves Rocher! The Fleur de Noël collection for 2011 features Charming Spices candles that bring the spirit and warmth of Christmas to your home as well as fragrance sticks and home fragnances that can create a warm and romantic atmosphere during the cold winter nights.

This is an excellent idea for X-mas present for your friends! Also, I got a lovely hand cream from Yves Rocher because my hands are so dry during winter. The Fruit de Noël limited edition handcream is extremely moisturising, very light and with a sweet scent derived from the combination of orange, pergamont and graprfruit oils.

Lastly, another limited edition product for this season, is a collection of 3 mini-soaps in an ecological package that could be an ideal choice for a gift to a little or big girl! :)

Here I’m about to countdown the top Yves Rocher products that all ladies should try. Yves Rocher has brought botanical beauty to a broad range of consumers in an affortable way. I have selected my Top 5 of Yves Rocher products. So, let the countdown begin!

5. Yves Rocher Organic shower gel

Three brand new organic shower gels from the Jardins du Monde line have made their way to Yves Rocher store in FORUM: organic shea butter, organic mallow and organic argan oil. Only for 2,50€!

Since I dicsovered the shower gel with organic moroccan argan oil, I use it for every possible use. As a shower gel, as a hand liquid soap and even as a gel to for shaving my legs. Yes! Its gel texture leaves my skin silky. This shower gel is certified by Ecocert for containing 99,4% of natural origin ingredients and being paraben- and colorant-free.

Check how vivid they look in this picture, from an event I was hosting last Friday in Linnanmäki (amusement park) for 400o people! Three hours of hosting and the lipstick was still on fire!

2. Yves Rocher Nutri Specific Day Cream

How doesn’t need a good moisturizer? I found a great one from Yves Rocher Forum, the Nutric Specific, which leaves my skin nourished yet not oily and greasy. It comes in a beautiful vase, too. Plus it smells delicious!

1. Yves Rocher Pure System Exfoliating Cleanser

Who said that only teens struggle with blemishes and enlarged pores? I use an exfoliating cleanser daily for almost a decade now and last week as I was running out of my normal supermarket cleanser I decided to check if Yves Rocher has something I could try.

I bought the Daily Exfoliating Cleanser–Clean Pore 125ml and I tried it the same night already after taking off my make-up and washing my face before going to bed. I loved it! This is my fav product by far and I think I will use it for at least the next decades to come! It’s soap free and made of pulp of biological aloe vera. It does not dry my skin, especially since I have combination skin with an oily T-zone!

I hope it shows but I feel my complexion is glowing!

Yves Rocher is one of the main sponsors of the Finnish Elle Style Awards 2011. The fashion gala is taking place on 12th October and the most fabulous style icons and trendsetters will be awarded.

Yves Rocher is the make-up sponsor responsible for all the make-up of the models on stage as well as a make-up lounge in the gala hall for all the guests of the show. Yves Rocher is also presenting the makeup and hair artist of the year award!

This Friday, August 19th Elle Style Awards makeup-artist Mariela Sarkima will kick off the preparations for autumn’s greatest style event at Yves Rocher store in Forum’s second floor! From 9 o’clock in the morning, Mariela Sarkima -Yves Rocher’s young star makeup artist- will create “the Official Elle Style Awards 2011 Look”, which will be filmed and later on posted on Elle’s website.
